Preston Bailey.

I recently came across this awesome event planner/designer named Preston Bailey.  Not much to say about him but that he makes spectacular looking events.  Here are a few photos I found that are my favorites of his events.  Also make sure to check out his website.

It is also amazing to see what the before and afters were.  Shockingly, a good amount of these awesome events were in the "shabbiest" of places - on a roof, in a barn, in a basketball stadium - not nearly what they end up looking like.

Wave.

I found this piece of artwork when "stumbling" the other day.  I think it is pretty awesome.  It is called "Wave of the Future". I unfortunately have no information on who created this or how.  But, what I can tell you is that is was definitely an adaptation of the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai's painting "The Great Wave of Kanagawa."

Lichenstein.

Roy Lichtenstein is another one of my favorite artists.  I really like his pop/modern art.  I think what attracts me the most to his art is that is has a comic book feel in larger than life artwork.  I like his use of black and white with basically primary colors.  He also uses dotted and striped patterns as fill for objects which gives the art another dimension.  Here are a few of my favorite pieces of his:
